The Rancho Santa Fe Covenant Was Established in 1928 Founded in 1927, the Rancho Santa Fe Association secures the preservation of the rural nature of the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant area and its approx. 6200 acres of natural landscape.
Also operating and maintaining the golf course, playing fields, tennis club, hiking and riding trails the Association works for the benefit of its members. The Covenant maintains a "Dark Sky" policy banning street lights from sidewalks and streets. Here are a few of the upscale features that this exclusive community offers:

Located on the northwest border of the Covenant, part of Southpointe Farms is within the Covenant borders and part is outside. Subdivided by Don Woodward in the late '70s, all sites have views of hillsides, the lagoon or the Pacific Ocean.

The Rancho Santa Fe Riding Club Was Established in 1946   |  | | |
 The Rancho Santa Fe Riding Club is sited on 11 acres in the west side of Rancho Santa Fe. The private facility is located on Rambla De Las Flores off of La Granada, just minutes to the Village. The Riding Club offers outside corrals, oversize box stalls, hot water wash racks, three turnouts, 6-horse free flow exerciser, cross ties and three rings. Association members have access to over 40 miles of trails meandering throughout the Covenant. The horses are fed hay three times a day and the staff provides daily stall and ring maintenance. Rancho Riding Club is home to Westwood at Rancho Riding Club. Philip Cillis, Marcy Gehrke, Marion Hadden and Calewell provide dressage instruction, and Robin Bond specializes western training. The horse shows and social activities are open to the entire family. Instructors are available to give lessons to children and adults. This wonderful riding club offers assets for horse and rider.
